I am a Lecturer in Feminist Legal and Political Theory at Glasgow University. My research focuses on issues in Feminist- Social- and Political philosophy. I am particularly interested in feminist perspectives on work and capitalism, socialist feminist theory, and theories of social structures and structural change.

I have recently published a book with Oxford University Press (Studies in Feminist Philosophy) that develops a feminist critique of sweatshop labour by drawing on work in feminist, socialist, post-/decolonial, and critical race theory. I show that sweatshop labour is embedded in historically specific structures of global capitalism that raise unique normative concerns. The book provides a normative and practical account that highlights spaces of resistance, as well as the responsibility of actors implicated in sweatshop labour relations to work towards structural change.
